I have done multiple systems before including on my old Territory and never have had such a bad noise problem. The reaon I believe it is the alternator is that on less load eg - no lights on, air-con fan off etc, the noise is much less noticeable but during night driving - especially with high-beam on the noise increases greatly (more load on the alternator). I've segregated all power cables from all the audio/signal cable, battery voltage is fine, earth is short and of a large gauge on my amp, and im using good qualtity gear (rockford and ARC Audio). Has anyone else had this issue???I've heard rumour of increasing the gauge on the alternator earth should solve an issue like this....All feedback appreciated!!and again sorry if this is an old issue - just point me in the right direction if something has been posted before.Thankyou. I tried bigger earths, extra cable shielding, etc. with no luck. A ground loop isolator also slightly helped..Best of luck
