Yer I loved the intake noise at first. Pretty over it now though. My kit is more a heat sheild than actual airbox. May look into making something like Mick said soon. Would not be to difficult. Maybe increase the wall thickness on the box also.

Would definately still need some extra insulation to have any noticable effect though.

My problem is I know sometimes I will still want the noise, gotta love brake boosting next to someone with their window down.

do not want to hijack this thread, but we tested the turbo side box against the V8 box in another thread and shoed there was a gain at around the 315 rwkw mark

I have noticed the Nizpro FG fibreglass box has thick foam stuck around it on the inside. I take it this would be for noise? I reckon the steel intercooler pipes cause noise aswell, not just the filter.

Any pics of this foam? Thanks.

I just fitted my plazmaman cooler and intake today.... I know what you mean its crazy loud but I love it :D maybe a fully enclosed insulated box vented under the battery tray? Its hard to quieten it down because really and attempt at shutting it up will restrict it, maybe even to te point of negating any benefit gained from turbo side intake?? I duno that's a battle for you mate il keep the spool! Good luck

well done mate.. got any pic's mate.??

Give me time! Only came up with the idea today at 3.30pm.

Have ordered some dynamat and tape.

Will also refit my under bonnet mat.

I was thinking of trying to seal up most of the holes but still allow cold air in via the front right foglight at some stage.
