How To Make Turbo Side Pod/airbox Quieter?

I thought about changing mine back to get rid of some noise but it seems too much of a compromise. I suppose that would be called "reverse modding".

Can't see it taking off :)

I'm having the same issue, just fitted the Rapid kit, tried some heat resistant heavy duty carpet/matting cut to fit on 3 sides of the box/tray, very minimal gains (or losses?) I love the MASSIVE boosting sound, but I like to be able to accelerate up a hill at a leisurely rate without people on foot looking back saying WTF???

post-3319-0-62053800-1349925333_thumb.jpHere is what I did quiet just a little louder than stock and has a 150mm outlet behind the airbox very tight squeze with the long filter but I got it in. Cost $50..... Looks a lot better when the wrinkle finish paint has dried to a nice flat black. Edited by Slymeat
