I though it was air being sucked in from the holes under the battery tray but no change when covered them with tape. Took the top off the air box but the noise was louder.Thinking of some sort of insulation. Soft rubber at the sides of the airbox etcNot helping is the fact that my FGXR6T has upgraded metal cage bearings and the 4" pod filter is very long. See pic below.I was thinking of adding a rubber layer to the metal plating tooAny other ideas to reduce noise/provide better heat insulation?Another idea, was keep this long K&N filter for the track and try a shorter pod filter like below for the street.Shouldn't need a retune should it?Any ideas welcome, rather than 'Suck it up Princess or turn the radio on"

In my experience the bigger KnN (I have the same) is quieter.
