alot of different combinations for power.

some tuners say u only need this for that power, where the other tuner requires few extra mods for the same power.

I sold mine earlier this week so pretty somber at the momment but tomorrow the hunt begins for a FG XR6 turbo or a G6ET.

Dont worry about numbers as long as its safe and the car performs well, starts, drives nice, economy is okay and your tuner is prepared to spend time on it to get it the way you want it that's more important than a number.

well done, was a very nice car!

I agree, safety, a nice smooth ride, then having the right mods to support the power.

I get 3 tunes, what should they be set at? standard, 270rwkw, 300rwkw? My mate before he sold his car with pretty much my exact mods had safe 250rwkw, street 300rwkw and race 360rwkw. around town drove around on street tune, then when he decided to race at WSID on race tune blew his box 3/4 track and run 12.07et!

I had 3 tunes a high tune which was 270/ 880nm and a economy tune which I can't remember the number and a valet tune. I drove around day to day on the economy tune which was powerful enough to nail a HSV with ease.

Apexr6, as far as what to set your 3 tunes at I would personally go with a Valet tune(max rpm 3000) for when you are getting servicing done etc. The other 2, I would discuss with your chosen tuner. I was going to wish you good luck, but I think that by you asking the questions, and becoming more educated, "your all over this, like a fat kid eating cake" (as my son would say) Cheers

impellor, hopefully I am that fat kid, and I am educating myself!

Yes, CMS is looking the goods.

like was said before, need a good tuner who will not treat the car as a quick in/out see ya later job.

If that is what you want then Joe and CMS is the go. I know I can go there and get Joe to tinker with something at a moments notice and him and the boys always are nice and top blokes. I really appreciate that kind of personal service. All you tell him is what you are after and he will make it happen, he won't recommend anything that isn't needed just for the sake of making extra money.
