I have heard his working on it, *Beep* will be the guinea pig for that I think, but il go to him cause his someone I trust with a 4 speed and well priced, and I also know what's in the box.

xr6t_ute Thanks heaps for your input mate its people like yourself that make this such a great site

The bloke who rebuilt my box said that the clutch packs are to far apart and towards the rear of the box and that's why the torque kills them .

These are the clutch packs from mine. the brown ones are first and second and are still like new, the other set is third and fourth and are warped and blue in colour

LOL phantom few of them look like they they have been gone over with the oxy torch also thanks heaps for your input mate another top bloke

Sounds like you're doing the right thing Keddy :spoton:

After reading and watching the video about Yarra Valley, I'd go with either them or Preston as I've not heard 1 bad thing about them.

Keep us posted on what the places say that you go to and who you end up deciding on! Good luck :)

Lol those bottom packs have definitely seen better days phantom haha

well ive got a game plan now ill keep this updated as I go, hopefully can save a few of the ba boys rebuilding the box as many times as I have.

Again Thanks everyone with your input pretty sure ill still be on track to make the next vic cruze so hopefully get to see some of yous out there

spoke to Aaron last night and mentioned this to him. Said he's got a 700kw car running a btr. And there's a special way to make/tune these. If I'm ever going somewhere to get a BTR it'll be DTM I'd be going to..

Good luck

Ended up going to Tim at Bayswater Autos has done well I'm very happy

Snapped rear planetary gear (rear planetary had snapped in 4 previous rebuild's) and a slightly worn c1 was the problem

Solution AU cryo'd rear planetary, modded c1,bf shims as well he re did the shift kit and bands

great box shifts firm got 5,000km's on it so far all good

BAYSWATER AUTOS CRYO'D AU REAR PLANETERY solved my my issue's the custom C1 that was in there was snapping the standard rear planetery gear, as well as that did bf shims and replaced the bands while it was apart

Strong Box, Firm shifts happy with the work price was very attractive as well
