Dillz managed to get $33K I think and if you waited longer you could probably get $36K. Had an interesting afternoon. I got a call yesterday from a dealer I've gone to asking to come in today. Thought OK, cool they're just trying to sell it to me, I'll drop by. First thing he says is 'How will you be paying the deposit?' Lol, I didn't realise I was there to buy then, told him I'm still visiting dealers...Te dealer today tried to get me to sign anyway and showed me his computer which according to his explanation gave him $936 profit on $54,850. The dealer I saw yesterday reckoned he'd only make about $750 on $54,500. There are a couple on car sales with 0km (confirmed) for $53,500 but they're in Vic. The lowest in NSW is $54,488......I wonder if that profit includes dealer delivery or is on top of their dealer delivery fee? Will it match the tartan blanket across the back window? Same stuff as before but with Alloy Spare as well after a call this morning. I'm guessing I'll either have to buy now or wait till 30 June as I doubt they'll do anything for me once the month ticks over. A couple of the dealers are out simply because the price is now below cost for them. Only big ones still in the running. The sale had to be approved by the DP, the Sales Manager couldn't approve it as I'd negotiated down to $348 below the cost price their computer calculated (includes paying the employees, utilities, rent, etc apparently). I think I got a good deal in that regard. The DP tried to push it up to cover the difference but I threatened to walk so after a couple of minutes he agreed, lol. Can't Wait :sungum: I swore I would never buy a new car but after all the stuffing around with used cars, I got sick of it and went new. Price was less than $54K Drive-Away. All the 2012 Demo's (bar one in SA with 4,500kms) on Car Sales were around $50K plus so I got one with 0km for less than $4K extra. For those looking at these cars, you should be targetting paying no more than $54,500 (with what I got in extras). At this point, some of the dealers on tighter margins will start dropping out. At $53,500, all but the biggest of big dealers will be out (sorry Country people) and this is the limit where you push for those last couple of dollars like I did. With no Options at all, I think $53,000 flat would be possible. The only thing I see myself upgrading to at the moment is an F6E in 2016 when the last ones are made. But then I also thinking about houses in that time as well so I'll probably just end up keeping it for longer cause of the mortgage. tuono Member 312 Member For: 14y 6m 18d Posted 31/05/12 09:45 AM Share Posted 31/05/12 09:45 AM I put a deposit on a 2012 Ranger Wildtrak in Metro Grey today. It has all the fruit, more than my G6! Cool vehicle. Ford have kicked arse with this new model. Sad to see the G6 go, but not fringe friggin benifit tax!!! Oh and don't ask what I've lost.
