Hey all,

just wondering if anyone else has come across the same prob as me, when starting the engine appears to wind over for quite some time before it fires. this only happens after it hasent been driven for a while like 8hrs or so. it seems like a fuel prob me, like the line is not primed or something.

as always any words of wisdom appriciated.

cheers

Instead of cranking the engine straight away, turn the ignition to on position, and listen for the fuel pump to run should prime for about 3 seconds then once It stops crank the engine, see if this reduces the amount of time that the car cranks before It fires

My intank pump is a walbro, I fitted a surge tank a couple days ago but before that never had any priming issues etc xar started like it still had normal pump, the pumps have a non return valve which can hold pressure for some time but it sounds like your pump may be weak or maybe dodgy reg or something? Get a fuel pressure gauge on it.... Also check your fuel filter
