Am now in the market for a new set of 245x40x18 treads. Ive narrowed it down to the following. Pirelli P6 ( currently on my car... to date have 45000kms on them... I cant fault them for an all rounder.. even rather quiet), Khumo Ku 19 or Ku 31/33, Toyo proxes4 (like the fact theyre silica compound), Yokohama Advan A13 ( bit sceptical about Yokies treadwear) & Goodyear directionals ( not sure which model). Got quotes off a wholesaler & these are the tyres hes got... prices are pretty similar...just need some feed back on what memberts think. Throw some other brands at me too people.

What kind of power do they need to put to the road? Are you looking for as much traction as possible?

Picked up a couple of Goodyear Assymetrical 2's (made in Germany) for the fronts a week ago for from Beaurepairs. Held up really well on the Alpine Cruise last weekend. They stick like stink on cops. Can't fault them. Paid $355 each balanced and fitted for 245/40/18.

will be tuned soon... aimimg for 300rwkw.. but traction under load isnt a prority... just want good all round tyres. If I was after an ultimate performance tyre... man an ebay seller has Nittos for $240/ tyre... these things are semi slicks & at an awesome price.

Just bought 4 forceum hexa's from ozzytyres. so far so good. grip has been really good even in the wet, so right now I can't fault them. not too noisy either. only paid $104 per corner, so can't be happier right now. Previous tyres were kenda on the fronts and kinforest? on the rears. never heard of them, they came with the car and were total rubbish... didn't grip for crap even when dry.

Goodyear F1's are great on these cars. As the Pirreli Pilots.

Kuhmo 31's are a good wet tyre. Not as quite as they use to be though and not as cheap. Not sure I would go a third set of them.

K19's are the more street orientated Quite, milage and shoite grip.

Continetals are a good quite tyre. A good allrounder or G6T tyre.

Nexen 8000's are quite and comfortable. sh*t grip all round and worse in the wet. But consistantly bad so not too bad for a cheapy.

Fedral 595's have some grip. Some as in little and are pathetic in the wet. The noise they make is made for drowning out a droning diff or just plain driving you mad.

Maxxi's have bad grip, lots of noise that gets worse every 100k's you do.

Bridgestone Potanza's are down there with the OEM dunlops.

And that's about all I've tried

Been singing this song for over a year now and will continue to sing it!

Nitto Invo's FTW... simply nothing on the market bang for your back that will outperform them.

$250 a cnr or less too!
