I am going fault finding tomorrow to see if I can find a lose wire on the back of the ICC or the speakers somewhere. Its friggen annoying as it never did it till recently and now its loud as hell but only when listening to anything plugged into the AUX input. My fg does it bad, r) side speakers occasionally stop working when the whine stops and pressing clutch/changing gear makes the sound come and go! WTF!!!!! XRSEXT Member 235 Member For: 12y 5m Gender: Male Posted 13/03/13 09:48 PM Share Posted 13/03/13 09:48 PM is it fair to say that the speakers cutting in and out is a loose connection somewhere as its occuring when taking of from lights or putting clutch in or whatnot.. the sudden change in movement must be causing something to move around so its pulling away from where its connected? I have a full comp stereo in my FG and the whine cannot be avoided (altho I have dramatically reduced it)

My MK2 had very bad whine, I taped up some exposed wires on top of the ICC when I installed my reverse camera, haven't heard it since.

I may have to have a look altho my stereo whine is only heard slightly when volume is down.. I do have 7000W of power running through the system at any given time which would no doubt cause interference through the factory ICC. I just couldnt justify hacking up my facia just to add another headunit in the remaining DIN spot to remove the whine completly so im happy with my results
