Ok if your not selling, short motor from ford would be the go if your happy with the current power level. Otherwise, building an engine isn't as expensive as it might seem at first. There's one in the classifieds that would be a fantastic buy.

I've just done this to my BA-t

Put I'm a n/a bf, oil filter is different but all else bolts straight up.

You will need a turbo sump for the oil return

I returned the boost to factory settings with new actuator and a cold inductor air take from ss industries . Car runs awesome

More responsive off boost and better fuel economy any Q's just ask . Oh and I put the red top on so no one would no lol!!

Why do people insist on buying these cars, then something goes wrong and cannot afford to fix properly. If you cannot afford to maintain them don't buy them. Bit harsh but fark me.

Pazzo, it's because of people like in here with the fix cheap it and sell it mentality once something goes wrong.

Then someone else buy their problem. I bet the previous owner knew about the issues.

You guys are men FFS not women. Fix it properly.

Its just a discussion lol didnt realise it would cause such a stir :B):

I was just exploring all options seeing as their was no other threads I thought I would start one, at the end of the day it all comes down to the $$$

If money needs to get spent to fix it properly then it will get spent, I dont know why everyones jumping all over the place saying its dodgey and if you carnt afford to fix it dont buy it etc, I dont know anyone who would buy a car and factor in replacing the engine in such a short time ?

I think once you start modding you should be prepared for failures, high maintenance, unreliable money pits. Unless you spend alot of money upfront.

Not so much unreliable but when these things fail they fail in a big way which ive heard of heaps of people going months without their cars

Pretty Certain that BA1 BA2 BF1 regardless of N/A or turbo all had the same conrods. BF2 and the BA1,2,3 LPG and F6 versions all had the same conrods which are margionally stronger but the pistons in the Falcon turbos are slightly concaved to lower compression.
