Do they call the option something like Leather Seats or similar that clearly indicates you can expect leather? If not, it is definitely at a minimum misleading advertising.A person could reasonably expect that the leather seat option entailed all major surfaces that are visible/reachable to be leather. Id check it with the relevant authorities, and if they agree, make a claim with ford demanding a full refund on monies paid for the leather option. Zeke zeke Member 792 Member For: 21y 7m 13d Location: Adelaide Posted 12/12/03 12:10 PM Share Posted 12/12/03 12:10 PM Do you guys know any car that has 100% leather seats? I think it's pretty rare this side of Bentley, top of the line Mercedes, Porsche etc. My 1968 Jaguar had a combination of leather and vinyl (leather on seat facings only). My 2000 Maxima Ti - ditto. I'm pretty sure the 1992 Lexus LS400 my Dad had was the same. So, before you get all excited, it might be worth establishing what the industry standard is.I considered getting aftermarket leather, but the trimmers I spoke to seemed pretty ignorant about how to deal with side airbags (among other things). I'm reasonably happy with the Ford option so far - better than the XR cloth trim IMO.Cheerszeke
