Save a extra $500 -$700 and get a custom tune. No 10psi boost is not that bad but it's his tunes that are bad. Do this like I said ASAP before you break or blow your engine up. Plenty of well known tuners in NSW to pick from.

With valve springs, injectors, cat and fuel pump you will have a safe 290-300 on a ba motor.

Ive been running 13 psi for ages and haven't had a problem..

I thought it would be the other way around ?2.the car doesn't kick back in 1st gear over 45 kph where before it would kick back at 65kph. ?3.somedays it goes well ,other times not ?4..lastone ,would it be sluggish up top due to only having a standard air intake ?I know nothing about these cars so any help will be greatly appreciated .**if someone lives in the wollongong area and knows about these cars that could take my car for a drive to tell me if it is normal or not..even pay $$ if necessary -just for peace of mind its stressing me out atm..thanks

Not too sure what might be restricting it but a k&n filter and a typhoon lower intake might help.I'm guessing the kick back being changed would be in the tune. A proper custom tune would fix this and make the car a lot nicer to drive. Is it cold the days it goes well? The standard cooler suffers pretty badly from heat soak so when the weathers warm or the cars been sitting on the spot for a while you'll notice it doesn't go so well. Especially with 10psi. He just wanted to Tune the car and see me on my way. My initial issues were still there. Suggest you plan what you want from the car and plan for it. I have now dealt with Spiro from Autotech Engineering and he is not cheap ($770 per tune) but he resolved the issues. Depending on how much power you want to make - safely, you will need to spend some money first (Pazzo and Paulie2256 suggested) exhaust, injectors, fuel pump. Be careful wth the Auto though, as you start to make more power their life span decreases dramatically.

I can't stress this enough.Try Autotec, CV, Crescent, BTA or Tunehouse , for starters.Cat, injectors, fuel pump, valve springs and a proper tune are a good startTranny cooler and valve body mods for your auto won't hurt either
