Rapid $1300

PW $1800

Plaz $1700

Niz $1800?

PWR $1400

Over the years no one's been able to prove there's much difference at all under 400, price and looks and maybe slight build quality are the only real differences.

No point asking anyone here as they will just say the one on there car is the best regardless of any real facts.

To my knowledge Nizpro's the only one that has actually done any comparable testing, but obviously they wouldn't be able to give out the details. Not online anyway.

Any it's not really interdependent testing either.

Case closed.

oh poon tang I got my nizzy kit for less than the cheapest on that list

and iant biased brand wise ...........its who can do the best deal cause what u said the gains are within a beez dick at that level under 400

Whilst not independent, these are some of the results from recent testing (1month ago) of Nizpro vs 2 other leading intercooler kit manufacturers in comparison to standard also.

thanks for the help mate, was there that much cutting with the pw cooler ?

Hey mate just this useless plastic part needs to be cut, plus a little trimming of another plastic piece and maybe a tiny bit of clearance grinding on the bottom of the front crash bar its nothing really. I also found the piece from the throttle body in the PW kit required a lot of frigging around to stop it from hitting the log intake manifold which is a problem possum has pointed out. The Cooler Works pipes had no problems here and the piece from the turbo also cleared the PW airbox silicon a lot easier and made installation very easy.

Im not brand biased at all just telling you what I reckon with what I have experience with. The other guys have chipped in with valuable advice. Just to make your choice even less clearer you have the HDI kit with the funky pipe joiners and also a PWR item that fits right where the factory one sits, is the same height and width (roughly) but thicker so theres no cutting and it will match up to factory pipes, PW and Cooler Works, maybe Plaz not sure.

Is that useless plastic piece the part I've heard is considered part of structural integrity and airbag deployment? The "grid" part? Or something else?

Fantastic read! Especially liked the back pressure info about the valve overlap period and the 800-1000°C air possibly being left in the cylinder and affecting the incoming cool air! Less back pressure = less work for my turbo = longer life and better performance.

Good to know bunna. What is the hydroform bar? Is that the plastic bit you cut out when uou put a Pw cooler in? I still have that piece and there's not sensor on that. Do you think cutting that middle piece out wou

d affect it?

If you are talking about the plastic bar that goes across the radiator support panel, it is a structural part of the car
