What I mean is that the cost cutting has gotten bad enough to really comprimise on making a decent car, now it seems you buiy a brand new car and have to replace the crap that they have fitted because they have cut costs on parts that dont even last the first few services. You buy a car and within the first year you deal with brake shudder, and the steering wheel vibrating your hands until you fix what ford have done from the factory.

it was one of the main reasons for me spending the money on the suspesion, I was sick of having brake shudder and a shaking steering wheel with a car that had only done 50k

Someone on here said the factory shocks are gone after 20thou kms

Ok I will spill the beans...

My bill was around $3500. I had just about everything done, full super pro bushes, camber kits front and rear, bilstien shockers, etc, etc

Do I regret it? no not at all. im glad to now have the car driving how it should have come from ford. Ford should be ashamed of themselves for putting such serious cost cutting in front of producing a good car. And I still beleive that there should have been a recall on those control arm bushes that fall to bits by the first 50k

I do agree but a Falcon has never been built to handle like a Jap or Euro and it never will, if they were they would probably cost the same.

These cars are a straight line car only and they do it well so might as well stick to that. We all know suspension upgrades will help you get it moving but will bushes (asside from diff) help too? And if so, how much?

The cost shouldnt change because Japs and Euros cost the same as Falcons in pretty much every other country lol Ford are just pathetic

I'll tell you how much it's worth when I do it Dillz. May as well have a crack at making the car fun driving even without hitting boost...the cars got everything else covered.

That's good and all, but everyone wants these cars as cheap as possible, and then complain theres cost cutting?? What other family sedan are you going to buy with such a great motor for the same price?

You're right but it would cost f*ck all to install decent bushes in the things whilst they were being built... Surely it wouldn't add much to the price.

Stiffer bushes etc promote more NVH through the car, the mum/dad type new car buyers would not want this so ford will, as any manufacturer will, target their main buying group, I know there are are few here, but how many people here have bought their car new? If us performance oriented customers where their main buying group, then possibly Ford would build a car that suited us better.
