Probably because no one wants to be embarrassed if they spent too much...lol

A complete rear end re-build would be around $1750 parts and labour in our workshop

Wouldn't be cheap, I got just the diff bush replaced with a std one and it cost $450, add the extra for a Sp ones and to replace them all, not much change from $1751.65 id say?

Fixed.

IMO people don't tell how much they pay in the public forums in fear of someone else telling them they paid too much, got ripped off even though they probably have never bought or used the same product/service.

It seems that the cost of getting this done is top secret.

Hardly, I cannot give a labour cost as I didn't pay labour. I bought an $80 super cheap press and a carton of beer, several hours/beers later I had replaced all the bushes.

Otherwise work on hrly rate X hours required to replace them.

^^^^^ what he is saying? Noticed each time people make a thread or post in a thread and the question of cost comes up, it becomes like a top secret and no one says anything.

It's not hard to pick up the phone and get a quote tho is it?

No one wants to admit what they paid, $1000 for rear bushes seems a lot of coin to spend on a Falcon.

It is a lot of coin. Until you drive a sedan that has had them done. The difference is remarkable.

^This^

Again how hard is it to pick up the phone and get a quote. People are very quick to give opinions on products when A: they have never seen and/or used them or B: never price them up or C: never laid down there hard earned to try them out.

Disclosing prices keeps businesses honest.

Yes it does, I dont really think anybody in here was attempting to "hide" the pricing. TBH I cannot recall how much the parts cost me for my car as it was almost a year ago. I could dig out the receipt's but not sure I can be bothered for what is essentially just another thread.

With stupid.

Crikey $1700 odd... And knowing they'll need replacing again some time down the track...

I seriously doubt (diff mounting bushes aside), I will ever need to replace the front or rear Superpro bushes. Adding to that I had a diff bush fail prematurely and it was replaced at no cost. I absolutely cannot fault Superpro's products and support.

Ive had mine all replaced with Superpro and I am glad I did it. The car feels so much better with handling, its much more controllable and if the tail kicks out you can drift it very easy without lifting off the pedal. Before it would sway and swing like it was on pillows.

+ 1 for super pro kit

^this^ x 11ty billion

Its all very easy to squeeze bulk power from these cars, putting the power down properly and making them drive as well as possible is much more expensive and takes alot more work. I would suggest that anybody that thinks $1000 is alot for a rear end overhaul, try and take a car for a spin that has had them done.

Repalacing the front bushes was one of the best things I did to my BF. So much tighter and the handling difference is amazing. My car had a 100k on the clock so probably more noticeable if your existing bushes are flogged out.
