My core just turned up the other day althought im keepng the starndard housing with ported rear and goin the billet front wheel, I fitted them all up and wasnt happy with the clearances on the front wheel to compressor housing so im goin to send the whole turbo down for him to check. Not real keen on bolting it all together on to sh*t the turbo after 5k or somthing. This was not his fault though it could be the compressor housing is outa round.

Yeah good idea, my rear was slightly out so MTQ gave it a slight linish and made it all super betterer!

I was also told gtx were laggy and to stay away from them but on here everyone seems to rave about them so meh each to their own I guess...

GTX is slightly more lagy than the factory turbo, but if its setup right a little more lag just gives you the extra time to prepare and hang on, much more head room for more power and its only slighty more lagy than the factory turbo, but again if its setup properly with the right cam timing you wont really even notice it.

Do the GTX's actually make much more power the the gt's? Would they make much difference on a 300rwkw car?

Edit: re-read the thread and people say they can make higher power figures, but down in the 300's do they make the power easier/less boost?
