Ended up hooking line converter up straight to sub wires output from factory amp and its thus far worked flawlessly for a week , unsure what the amps output is from factory but seems my line converter is handling it ok.

I ended up reconnecting my line converter to my rear speakers, and disconnecting the amp, sounds heaps better in my BF.

Connecting to the factory sub connector will only let your bigger better sub receive the same signal as the pissy factory sub, whatever its low pass filter and subsonic filter (if it has one) is set at.

Disconnecting the amp also lets the rest of the speakers get a full range signal.

Yep, did that, sounds much better!

Now to get a better sub/s, looking at these boxes, with the following subs...

Ported box may be better considering they're smaller subs and the size of our cars, but would be a squeeze and have to trim some of the carpet, the sealed box should fit very nicely with just the parcel shelf carpet removed, just unsure if it'll live up to my expectations.

Main thing is, I don't want to lose my entire boot!
