Nah I'm happy with they higher series as I don't want my car any lower than it was with the 19's (245/35/19)..

245/50/16 will give you the same OD as 245/35/19

Thanks arronm...

Cool, so that gives me a few more options.. Theres a guy selling some GOODYEAR F1 GS-D3 225/50/16 on ebay for $145 with 2 days left and 90% tread. Think ill snap these up and see if I can get the rears widened and get some better rubber for the rear and put the goodyears on the front..

Have I missed something? It shouldn't matter that its 225 width or does that have something to do with the OD?

The sidewall height in a 50 series in 50% of the width, so the skinnier the width the smaller the sidewall height.

Ok so what about 245/45/16? They will be on the back so I'm not too concerned about it being a bit lower, its more I don't want the front lower due to the phoon bar getting raped...

Im gonna get the rear rims widened to 8", so 245 should be sweet...

Where do you get the rims widened? and how much?

I need to get a couple of stockies so I can run some semi slicks (around 255) for the race track

You need to go a higher profile as you lessen the width.

Ie. 245/50/16 or 225/55/16 or 185/60/16 to get the same rolling diameter.
