You can easily jam another 044 on there. I don't care about the noise either.

If you are planning to mount it in the boot, then I would say no, just get a proven PW or Plazmaman one, easier to install as well as you won't need to run additional fuel lines.

Yeah they are a smarter solution, but how do they justify the cost? Say $180 for an 044, where does the other $900 go? Into that little bit of aluminium and some hose clamps? Then u gotta buy a $150 (!?) wiring harness? I wouldn't say R&D either as one is pretty much a rip off of the other and then flogged at pretty much the same price. I think they would be much better priced around $690 and they would still make a killing and sell more of them...

You have to remember that with the PW surge tank it is milled from a solid piece of aluminium and then welded to the back plate, it uses quality fittings and is a true bolt on part (apart from the electrics).

In saying that I also believe they are to expensive and should be cheaper.

Someone just had a pw style one made, it's similar but damn ugly too. Then with fittings + pump etc is up $700. Then extra labour to fit.

Now remember Pw is already assembled, all ready to bolt on. No holes to be drilled in the car.

Though if they were cheaper I wouldn't complain.

Yeah they are beautiful, functional and proven, no argument. Glad I'm not the only one that thinks things are a little dear in Oz. I guess that's because we live on an island. A volume produced milled aluminium part is not as dear to produce as it is made out to be. 700 for a one off would seem about right, go into producing something in volume though and the economics of it change significantly. Especially if the pieces are being made overseas (not saying they are but a lot of things are produced that way). I would assume the cooler cores come from China for example.

Second hand PW and plaz tanks pop up every now and then for $7-800ish.

The price is probably reflective of the smaller market these cars have, remember they aren't exported, we only have 20odd million population, of which how many drive xr6t's, who then choose to mod them?
