Nope. Plenty of work involved. Also in a GT-R, cos the block is taller there are heaps of clearance issues. New, custom dump and front pipes and plenty of machining involved.

I have a mate with an R32 GTS-T, he is getting all of his work done at AVO Turboworld, which included a built motor. He has deep pockets though.

Yeah mate 32.

The motor has already been built and then spun a bearing in when I started it one day so it was either something I got wrong or there were other issues. I'm just hopping that it didn't do too much damage as all pistons and other bits and pieces only had about 2000km on them. I've got a mate with a second hand motor ready that I'm going to use for the build so all I really need is someone to do the machine work and labor.

Yeah I think AVO is a bit out of my reach. I'm lucky to get my 1st knuckle in my pocket.

Is that how full they are?

Ok, dependent on if you were thrashing it at the time it spun etc will determine the amount of damage, R32's usually break the collar off the crank which drives the oil pump, on 32's they are very very weak and is the main reason why you see so many people selling them blown up as the cost is so high to repair them, when the collar break's it starves the whole engine of oil, if this was under full or even moderate noise even for as little as 2-5 second's it will have a significant amount of internal damage...They rectified the weak crank collar on the R33's...

does the engine still start ???

If Yes does it have a very loud knocking sound ???

Another thing is the piston to valve clearance on them is rediculously narrow, so much so that when they spin the bearing on the crank the piston's infact smash against the valves so you end up with the head needing repair aswell as the bottom end, R33 crank's are hard to find unless you buy new from nissan which is $$$$, there's not really much use putting it back together with another R32 crank as sooner or later it will do the exact same thing basically....

Most likely there will be some damage to piston's etc aswell...

What color and year model's your 32 ??

Pic's...

When I rebuilt it last time my crank had cracks all through it so I replaced it with an R33 crank. Also put an N1 oil pump.

The car actually let go when I started it one morning to move it out of the driveway so it's got me f*cked what happened. The car still starts but has extremely loud bottom end noise. Same as the 1st time I spun a bearing.

My main concern was the head too which I know is about $1000 for a freshen up.

It's gunmetal grey 89. Let me see if I can find some pics.
