brennnno21 Member 8 Member For: 13y 5m 17d Posted 16/03/12 10:11 PM Share Posted 16/03/12 10:11 PM hi all!My 2007 Bf manual ute (stock) makes a clunk noise as I take off in 1st, to me it sounds like the diff, not taking off flat stick, taking it easy and it only sometimes does it. Taking it to my mechanic next week, when I told him I bought the car he said " no worries ill order you a new diff now " and with all this talk of dodgy diffs kind of has me a little worried. Maybe a few suggestions on what it might be and possible solutions would be great....besides that still goes hard and is an awesome car! Edit/ actually I think it was a bearing in the tail shaft that went on mine. Please not let that be the same thing as previously mentioned lol. Best to just take your ute to a mechanic and get them to look at it. When mine was making those noises I was told it could be a dozen different things. Only one way to know for sure though.
