Just wondering if anyone knows what I could do to check what's wrong with out taking it to a mechanic?

Check all the hoses and joints , maybe you have an intermittent boost leak. Try cleaning the boost solenoid. Does it have a stock fuel pump? Put a boost gauge in to see if it is actually turbo related.

It has been tuned about 4 months ago with a flash tune. I have a boost gauge and it shows it dropping from 10 to about 2 or 3 psi then back up again. Esp if you have a mechanical gauge. Obviously generics are far from safe though. Edited 16/03/12 07:51 AM by Paulie2256

Any recommendations for what type of plug for an 04 BA turbo?
