Has anyone fitted one to a FGXR6T?

Went out to Wakefield this week and the car felt great.

Unfortunately could only do 3 laps before being pulled into the pits though.

The rear Hankook grooved slicks are great for traction but seem to be really hard on the diff.

Having major problems now with diff oil leaking onto the exhaust and got black flagged twice.

See end of video at 5min14!

A similar problem occurred with a production race version of the F6. (Thought it was just the extra 200ml burning off the breather but not so sure now).

Has anyone fitted a diff oil cooler?

I'm already using the best syn diff oil available from Mainlube $150 for 2l.

Other ideas were a fuel filter acting as a catch can from the breather that can feed back into the diff.

What about a bigger diff hat or one of the carbonart ones with cooling fins built in?

I have a catch can on mine that's working well, once it cools down the oil runs back into the diff.

Where was the catch can mounted?

In a wheel arch or boot?

Any pics?

Thanks.

Its disconcerting when you trail a huge plume of acrid smoke... good thrash on deserted back roads or private test track will certainly bring in on! Catch can is a brilliant solution.
