My first xr's tow bar was done at factory and they cut around the tow bar nicely (on the bumper). My second xr, the tow bar was done at the dealers and the cut out looks like it was done by a first year apprentice and used a hack saw blade to cut it out. Has anyone had their tow bar fitted post factory and ended up with a good cut out. I dont know why ford didnt put the pre cut removable one like the sedans as most utes I think get tow bars fitted.

strewth .. didn't even notice ... neat job :ta:

I suppose the range of tow bars likely to go on a ute is bigger than that for a sedan ... leave or take as much as is needed on the rear skirt

I saw one at a dealership, it was a ute, and it had the worst job done on the cutout I have ever seen! Really look like its been cut by a blunt hacksaw! Really not good enough for a 50k car IMO...

Hambo could it be?........Have you actually ordered your ute?.........Oh, no hey. Yeah, thought so. Oh well there's always tomorrow!

I had the heavy duty t/bar fitted by the dealer and I agree igsta .. an absolute balls up. Am not very happy with it at all and am now in the process of finding something to patch it up and make it look half decent ... perhaps a S.S. folded sheet rectangle that slots into the opening? Any suggestions? :nyaah:

from that pic basher_tsv, its hard to tell how good/bad it is, but if it was done at a dealership, take it back and get thier head panel beater/detailer to work on it, cause its just not right having to pay for somthing and its not up to your satisfaction.
