I purchased a BA series with 120,000 k's on the clock. It has standard brakes which are a little sloppy. I was hoping to upgrade the rotors to DBA Street Series (504SL and 504SR) for the front. I don't have a massive budget, around $500 for rotors and pads.Does anybody have a better solution to suit my budget at all? I also hear that Bendix Ultimate pads will be too harsh for the above rotors and probably unnecessary. What would be a better pad with good performance but which will be a little more forgiving? Thanks in advance. Opted for DBA slotted street rotors and bendix ultimates. Didn't like the ultimates due to the huge amounts of brake dust and they lasted around 20,000km. I'm running bendix heavy duty pads now which are less harsh and alot more brake dust friendly. If I was in the position again with standard rotors I'd hunt down some big 322mm BF rotors and calipers from a wrecking yard, have them machined new and throw on some bendix ultimates. Notice how it's always BA owners wanting to upgrade the brakes?

If you have the cash , the early FPV 2 piston brakes are a great upgrade. If you can get two calipers here are the discs and pads. These are 325mm and are 32mm thick. These perform well.http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/FORD-FALCON-BA-GT-FPV-TYPHOON-325mm-FRT-GROOVED-COMBO-/110665330795?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item19c42af06b

So the BA Turbo still only has the 298mm discs? That sucks! I don't really thrash my car much and don't do a lot of heavy braking etc so I am happy to just upgrade to the 298mm slotted rotors and EBC pads. I don't do any track days or anything.
