The one you see at the front going to the intake is just a breather. Have you thought about the valve springs?Otherwise a rod my be bent (usually hear a tapping sound) or your piston rings gone. Maybe get a compression and leak down test done before pulling your motor out.First thing get the pcv valve checked or replaced, they are cheap.
