Dont quote me on that. It might fit but also might come out higher or lower than where the cutout in the bumper is.I am looking to put a genuine Heavy duty 2300kg Ford towbar p/n 8R2Z19A009A $480 incl trade. You will need a harness. A 7 pin round p/n is BG15A417C $94 incl trade. The parts bloke wanted my VIN to match the right harness. Also I was thinking of getting an unpainted rear grille where the bumper goes thru to save my painted one in the event the towbar comes off. that's p/n BG17866C and $155 incl trade. This was for a FG G6ET, and also I am not sure if the towbar includes a tongue(parts guy couldnt tell me). I got a feeling it does not and maybe another part number. Edited 16/04/12 12:43 AM by turbotrana

If so, that looks like the way to go as the advertised price for it when buying a car is something ridiculous like $2000.

It is the square type fitting and Ford want $1,752 installed, lol.So for the genuine parts, it's $574 (I assume the square pin connector would be a similar cost to the round one). How much would it cost to get someone to install it then?If it doesn't include the ball, that's another $93 I think from Ford.
turbotrana Member 2,586 Member For: 21y 7m 27d Gender: Male Posted 16/04/12 07:13 AM Share Posted 16/04/12 07:13 AM Ford will charge 1k to get an apprentice to install. If your unlucky the apprentice will stuff up the cut out.Just ring around some towbar shops. I cant see it being more than $300 to install a genuine Ford kit. They have aftermarket heavy duty towbar kits for around $700 to $800 installed.
