Loin,

Take it back to the dealers. If you don't get the response you want,

give FMC a ring, I'm sure that they can sort it out for you.

Maybe even go to another dealer.

Daniel.

;) Hi Lion

Welcome to the site.

Mate every Falcon I've owned from the EB XR6 on has had a period noise in the diff, usually around 95kph. I got mine back from my dealer last week with a full replacement diff and all it did was lessen the noise and shift it back to 80-85kph. As far as the stalling- rough idle is concerned, mine went away with a UNICHIP. Don't take any crap from your dealer, you bought a $55,000 car. Demand they sort it and also demand a loan car while they are. My dealer always offers one, plus it will inspire them to hurry up and get it right. Hang in there mate, teething problems always sort out in the end.

Welcome to the club lion, you are not alone and I ask the same question.."why me". I'm on my 3rd tranny and have been waiting for 6weeks to get my tail shaft balanced. Why 6 weeks so far, as the dealers tell me they only have one machine is Sydney to balance the tailshaft.

All you can do is ensure the dealers fix it. If you are ever unhappy about anything you can always apply to Fair Trading for a resolution. Believe me I'm heading that way soon. If your thinking about getting the number plate LEMON forget it I'm on the queue b4 u.

JIMBO, mate I am in the same boat with my tail shaft "there is only one balancer in Melbourne and all dealers have to wait their turn" I have been waiting for a month. They gave me a call up and said it will take a while longer before they get it in ... but they did say they might be able to repair it, optimism is good. Going in Wednesday I'll keep you posted. Could be a short cut who knows?

I wonder if they could tell us which dealer it is at so I can take mine there, I wouldn't mind the drive, they can't be fixing that many you know.

So "lion" you see your not alone. With regard to the stall problem that should be fixed relatively easily. You'll see from other posts on this forum that it is happening to others as well. Just had a friend at work who has just had the problem fixed by the dealer just by reprogramming the computer.

BTW "chief", I have just been advised I would have to wait at least a further 2 weeks to get my balance. All up 8 weeks to get a repair...

 Are you guy's for real ? only one balancing work shop in Melbourne & Sydney! Here in Adelaide there at least two tail shaft balancing specialist. One of them is good old Repco who has made tail shafts for me in the past for race cars, takes about a week.

As for Lions problems, get yourself a dealer who will try for you and stick with them if this fails call F.M.C. I'm sure you will get results, but have the true facts ready.
