Hi Guys,

Really new to the forums and collected my 2010 FG XR6T on Sunday.

All of my modifying knowledge is mainly with nissans so please excuse some of ignorance.

I like the look of the stock tip the oval shape and was wondering if anyone has seen or heard of any aftermarket exhaust systems that are twin pipes but with a oval stockish looking tips on both outlets rather then the usual 4 pipe look.

And, I've been reading and apparently on these cars if you modify the exhaust at all you should be getting the car tuned/flashed. As I said my knowledge is with nissans mainly and anytime I've switched exhausts you didn't have to tune the car, only when fiddling with boost and what not.

Is it a definete requirement to have the car tuned/flashed or just the best thing to do to get the most out of the modification and fuel economy, etc.

You only need a tune if you do a full exhaust. A cat back or modifying the standard one from the cat back is fine. Boost spiking is the biggest issue.

When I bought my car it came with a twin 2.5" cat back exhaust and they have welded the stock tips to the rear muffler. Sounds fully sic but looks fully stock.

Just weld on factory tips to any exhaust.

I've done it twice now. Used a full factory GT rear exhaust section

Later on used a turbo back twin 3" and used the GT tips on that.
