7 grand will get you what auscraft said but you will also need valve springs, then if you got a 6 speed you will need a new clutch $1500

thanks for your replys, so even though the bfmk11 have the stronger valve springs they wont handle that much power and will still need replacing? will I also need to do the acuator and wastegate upgrade and surge tank, should that see me somewhere up near 350rwkw?

Hi luke, I reckon 7 grand would get you to the 300rwkw mark or close to, then you have to start looking at strenghtening the gearbox n get a new clutch.

Unfortunately for me I have the very tempremental T5 so any kind of decent power is outta the question (ohwell ill just have 2 upgrade to an FG)

Thanks mate, yeah it is. I must admit too as much as I love the sleeper look, checking out some of the pics of member cars on here makes you double think what look to go for, I may end up trying best of both worlds

okay, so you are getting a BF MK11..

engine internals are safe..

6 speed auto will easily handle that much power without modification

6 speed manual will easily handle that much power but will require a strong clutch (about $2k.. maybe more we are talking Mal wood option 4 or 5 territory here)

start with the fuel supply as this is a very important area (no point trying to make power without fuel)

Siemans Injectors ($400 + fitting)

A quality surge tank + 044 fuel pump, the process west surge tank is good or CV performance have a larger surge tank that can handle twin 044 fuel pumps (lets say $1500-$2000)

Intercooler (upto/about $3K?)

Process west/Rapid or plazmaman all make intercoolers to meet your requirements... you dont need a plenum but its recomended

12psi wastegate actuator

Exhaust (about $2k maybe a little more)

the standard dump pipe can support this much power, but if your going to do it do it properly and get a 4" dump and 4-5" cat and a quality exhaust system to back it up

add in valve springs and edit + tune and you are looking at 9k-10k all up... and should see you easily 350+ closer to 400 if done with all the good gear you could lower the budget abit and hit 350 rwkw pretty easily, but future mods will mean pulling stuff off to upgrade it

Hey all new to the forum and new to the ownership of the XR6 Turbo. Have to say it is the most fun I have had in a car and the most comfortable. Anyone be able to point me in the direction of a XR club in or near Toowoomba?

Thanks,

Mick
