Registered a little while back but it looks like I've officially got my XR6T ute on order so here's my little hello.

Just sold my little 120i bimmer and about to step back into some good ol' aussie muscle. I've enjoyed the time with the little hatch, the bugger handles like bloody dream with more features than you can poke a stick at. However I do miss a lot about Australian built vehicles so here I am again (that and the tray is certainly come in handy :) ).

I've been told it's a 4-6 week wait? (car was negotiated by a broker as I couldn't get the time off...and was done as a little favour by a customer of mine) Hopefully sooner rather than later :) FG Xr6T, Breeze, ZF, Sports Pack, Safety Pack + odds and ends.

CAN'T BLOODY WAIT!!!!!!

ps Loving the forum here guys!

Safety pack incorporates the side/thorax airbag and the factory alarm system :) in my old age I've become a lot more safety conscious.

ooh, I should also add that I've picked out my tuner to be and have a mods list the length of my arm.....w00000t!!!!!!!

Hi all!

Have only posted once due to work commitments and email access, but have that all sorted now.

I recently purchased a FGXR6T in Seduce with 6sp auto, leather and premium sound, and am loving it! I previously had a BA II XR8 which was written off by a L plater running a red light. Cant say I was that disappointed, especially after getting in the new XR6T as its replacment!

Anyway after visiting the LS1 forum and reading a few threads, I am happy to be a true blue ford fan as it seems that all they are interested in over their is how big each others d$ck is!

Great site, and even better contributers.

Cheers,

Andy.

welcome to the site FGXR6TURBO, pity about the 8, but after a few months driving the T, you will have completely forgotten about it.

Hey guys, been a member for a little while but never posted,

I drive an 04 xr6t sedan,

I started with an 05 xr6 ute brand new when I was 17, then traded it on a 05 manual xr6t sedan and I was in love...then an ex mate wrote it off, so after a brief love affair with nissan (33gtr and 464rwhp 200sx) im back in a falcon and constantly dreaming about what to do next

im loving all the info on the site as well, very helpfull!!

looking forward to going on some cruises with other xr6t owners

Another newbie here interested in buying a XR6 turbo.. got $25K to burn on a family car

I currently have a 02 Golf GLE which is a bit small for my family. Parts and servicing, as I am gradually finding, is a bit steep to get that "german driving experience.

I've been impressed with the BA onwards falcons, especially when my boss got an XR6 BF 6spd auto. Very impressed with the handling, the interior and surprisingly good economy. Also the reasonable insurance premiums, cheap parts and tuff engine is a huge plus.

My previous rides are pretty shameful, modded Excel, VC Late model camira 4cyl, 86 Corolla sedan and other 70s corollas. My only highlight was a supercharged AE86 toyota sprinter track car.

I was planning to get a Mark 5 GTI Golf but have found the boot too small for prams.

So the Falcon fits the bill. Wife is a bit shocked, thinking that Falcons are too common and perceived to be "bogan" cars. OH well.

I am in a dilemma. Should I get a manual 6spd XR6 turbo or the auto? Is there much difference between the 4spd and 6spd auto which warrants the big price difference? I actually prefer the look of the BA over the fussier BF front bumper and wheels. Any help appreciated.

Also, what is the difference between "premium" sound and the standard one? I am used to a nice stereo in the golf with its standard 8 speakers system.
