maybe its my fault for emailing - they see my address & bump the price.

I just thought it would waste less of their time helping me with my question on the car they tuned.

That may be the issue.

There are a lot of thing's I might say over the phone or in person that I would never put in an email.

Any discussion of a client to a 3rd party would definitely be on that list.

They may also only do such a thing if the car owner gives them the OK first

I'd probably give them a buzz (or get the owner to give them the OK to speak to you) - they have the history and knowledge of the vehicle and a relationship with them from the start (if you purchase and it is a decent car/condition) could work wonders later down the track

well I went and drove this car today - first time ive ever been in a xr6.

power is definitely there - especially down low/mid range.

straight body, but there's very bad scratches, rust on the boot around the spolier holes (no spoiler) - the icc is dead so no aircon/heater etc - which is my biggest concern really.

its got a new twin plate ceramic clutch, which has a high take up point - not easy to get off the line

he's pretty firm at 11k so I have to think about it.

cheers

^it also had the abs & trc lights on permanently, steering wheel was shagged too.

might go look at this one tomorrow - a lot more coin spent but he tells me its got an exhaust leak at the punched out cat and the side skirts need painting. probably more wrong with it too..

You need to stop looking at big power cars for small coin. If its that good the owner wouldn't be getting rid of it. Seriously whats your budget and what model are you keen on. Ba bf fg. Ba had one in the 8. Great looking car a few issues to spend coin on if previous driver didn't fix the norm. Bf 06/06 after if you want a auto zf and better gear. Fg the final run before the whale shark and I have one and farking love it. Also think bf's look great. Whats the main thing you are looking for in the xr6t.

Power

Drive ability

Comfort

Handling

Looks

Also think with power comes bever ending cost. Bushes, tyres, insurance, tyres, fuel, tyres, parts, tyres, ect.....
