Where bouts use guys from, my 2nd an 3rd gear playin up now as well

Well I crossed one thing of my list and changed the gearbox oil. Used Penrite Pro Gear 70-75 and I must say it has made a difference. Definitely a bit heavier than the Dexron iii that was in their but 2nd to 3rd gear changes are much smoother now.

Yo, just registered today, thinking of getting one of these bad boys to replace my old WRX loved the rex, want something with a bit more car around me and cubes up front though, love turbos so I'm thinking XR6t makes sense. Budget is 9 grand. How likely am I to get something nice in a manual? Cheers guys, looking forward to learning as much about these as I have about the rexys,

Cal.

Just another quick question. Is a stock XR6t going to ride more sporty than just a standard non xr? I really liked how agressive the Wrx's steering and handling in general felt. Used to have a VR Calais and It cornered like a boat. Also my mate has always owned stock falcons and I find them to be similar, are the XRs much stiffer and do they turn in nicer that a bog stock EL fairlane for example? If not what does it take to get the slop out of em?

They corner like sh*t. Fg better than the older ones like a ba but still sh*t. After all it was designed to be a family car then had a turbo slapped on.. it's never gonna handle like a wrx

Hell of a lot faster in a straight line though

Maybe with decent suspension you'll get decent cornering but it's not designed for it

It's a go fast in a straight line and pray your brakes hold out for the corner

Cheers guys, guess I could get used to the old point and squirt, point and squirt style of driving. Used to have an LJ Torana with a pretty ballsy Buick jn her. So I'm no stranger to loving straight lines and hating corners.

People do track these cars, with the right set up they go OK. Nelsonian101 is one of the members that races, he even came I think 3rd in some sort of track day event against many smaller better handling cars.

Check out one of his threads here
