Nah.. Throw everything at it.. And have it tuned for 400 the first time you drive it.. Sink or swim kinda thing..

Now what could be wrong with that idea?

Just a quick update. Paid $28,700 for a nice FG turbo. Got ready to take the keys from the dealer, and then, bam. Driver crunches the rear quater panel onto a pole.

Said they would fix but didn't want to decrease the price on a now damaged vehicle. So I took my cheque back and am now back to square one.

Pretty shattered really, might lay of buying a car for a couple of months, really over all the hassels.

gday everyone,

jamie, 24, newcastle. picked up an 07 bf2 xr6 turbo, 4k worth of liquid Gas injection, 3" dual exhaust and cat, panel filter, PDW 18's and that's about it. Not chasing more power as I CBF, just want a nice cruiser. REALLY happy with it.

It's this sort of crap and the time you've wasted looking at cars only for them to fail at the last hurdle that drove me to buy new even when I swore I'd never do it.

Hi guys, just bought an xr6t today. A demo with only 100ks on it, it is a 2010 model and I hv paid it 37k. What do you reckon? Have I paid too much or was it a good deal? It is the basic model. I could only push the dealer to add some ford car mats and tinted windows. I'm new to the turbo world and I am as terrified as excited. Great to join you!

Diggin up an old post haha. Haven't seen him post in the Vic section at all, he mightnt be a regular member so getting an answer might be hard lol.

But he did say it was a demo car and might've been one of a couple demo cars there or thrown into showroom? Not sure..

Hi All,

Purchased a brand new manual MKI FG XR6T in nitro blue (last one in melbourne, very lucky find as I really dislike the look of the MKII).

My main questions are:

1) Why people choose to buy a pos SS over an XR6T.

2) Does anyone fear the future of Falcon?

1) I'd say mainly for image or brand loyalty, can't really see how any honest person that's objective and open-minded would. Unless it's just purely for the sound :idunno:

2) It'll go one day for sure, but if you listened to the media that day has been set and passed many times already. Just have to enjoy it while we can and hope like fck the replacement will be as good/better.

:welcome2: and congrats.
