HI All,

Ready for a sob story?

Well, I had a series 3 TS50, hell of a car, but after 18 months it was either the car lease, or the mortgage, couldn't keep both, so the car had to go. Been slumming it in an AU1 wagon since. I hate autos (the TS was a manual, of course!), so have been slowly going insane in the wagon. Now its stuffed, and looking for a new car. But, once you get used to the practicality of a wagon, you can't go back.

Which brings me to the wishfull thinking behind my call-sign. Any ideas on the cost of putting XR6T running gear into a BFII wagon? I have not purchased one yet, but with a budget of $20 total, am hoping my options are:

- a low km BFIII 2009, for around $17, leaving some spare cash for some nice rims.

- a higher km BFII, for around $11k, leaving $9k to add XR6T bits, including manual gearbox so I can get my sanity back ... and live with the std rims for a while.

No chance, right?

Hello all,

My name is Paul & I'm an electrician near Adelaide in South Australia.

I left the house to go and buy a new Volkswagen Transporter for work and somehow ended up ordering a silhouette FGII XR6 Turbo ute, manual, with the XR luxury pack & hard lid, instead!

Dealer said to expect me to take delivery,...... Wait for it........ DECEMBER 24th!!!! Yay, Merry christmas to me!

Will post some pics once I sober up after the Christmas celebrations.
