I'm no expert but if I was you I would go for under battery intake, intercooler, throttle body relocation kit, better cat and a tune if I was you. That should give a bit of noise, better torque and response, reasonable economy and reliability if the tune is done right (custom) :)

If you can afford an FG I would say go for it. No point spending good money on a car you might sell soonish. Chances are you won't get any of it back on re-sale and the FG will be safer to mod.

Just my 2c :buttrock:

Gday chaps! My name is Marcus. This is my 1st post, just signed up..

Love the Fords, first car ever was a bulletproof old xD with a 5sp celica gearbox, then an XF that actually had a working air con, but I wrote it off on the freeway in Perth, now I have my dream car that I have always drooled over..

In 2007 I bought my 2006 BF XR6T, named her Misty. Ex highway patrol car, she had 63,000 on the clock then, got 215,000 now - I am ALWAYS roaming around all over the country in her.. Over her whole life, I think that averages out to about 900km every week since she rolled off the production line! Poor thing.. She loves the open road, but feeling it a bit now. Been through a couple sets of brake discs and a couple wheel bearings and a power transfer coupling, and she's just a couple days ago started haemorrhaging oil :( :( But apart from that rubbish - I've loved every minute behind her wheel. No major mods yet, apart from upgraded discs the cops put on there and a cold air intake and K+N filter, but desperately want to bolt on bigger exhaust.

I've scanned this forum from time to time and always wanted to sign up cos it's awesome. Kinda bored right now at work so decided I finally would! I'm gonna hunt through for some answers to this oil leak... Wish me luck!

Glad to finally be on board!
