Hi all driving a BF 05 Turbo. Excellent car only I noticed when taking off in 1st gear (T56 6spd man.) it has a slight vibration kind of a noise and it clears when I get up to about 2500rpm. I could be over analysing the whole thing but was wondering if anybody had noticed this with there manual cars. It kind of sounds like the noise when you say turn round a round about in 3rd with revs lowish and take off. Ive tried taking off at different revs in 1st gear to see if it goes away.

welcome brendan, I think the noise your trying to explain is gear noise, completely normal but changing gearbox oil may quieten it a bit

one more thing I have been doing a heap of searching and reading but can't find anyonE that has had this next little pickle , when boosting at say 4500rpm through at 10psi I can here a vibrating noise, sounds like a plastic vibration noise coming from the rear of the car but nothing is loose.

Hey Hey everyone,

Just signed up and thought I would make a quick post saying Hi,

I am yet to get my xr6t but am looking this weekend,

As you can tell from im Jim from Canberra

Have owned fords for the past 10 years.

Do the guys from canberra have meet or anything like that (where the local guys go have a beer together or go for a drive).

I am also interested in Bikes and own a ZX-10 at the moment, It is sitting it pieces as I come off hard about 12months ago :(

For the people the own a xr6t may I ask what price (roughly) you paid for yours.

I will not be getting that may extra's with mine just some of the nice ones.
