Hi everybody,

Have just joined and am thinking of buyina a BF in winter white. I look forward to endless nights of readin and using the search function. Currently have a VX LS1 berlina wagon and after owning 4 different gen3 models from sedans to ss utes, I just want a change. Love the lines of the BF/BA and have never had a turbo car.

Found the forum through Google, I'm an apprentice auto elec in Vic and was looking for the best ways/ideas to beef up the sound on my 2008 FG XR6T Sedan's basic sound system and this site popped up. Had a fair idea already but this site helped me decide what I'm doing easily. Can tell this site will be a great resource for myself in the future!

Cheers.

Jamie.

Hi Guys,

My name's Greg & Im looking at buying a xr6t sedan in the near future. Ive currently got a Rx7 project to finish & then I can look to trade in my mazda6.

From what ive been reading Ill be looking for a 5/'06, or newer, BF in Auto form.

My father in law has a MkII Lowndes edition ute & ive been very impressed with how his has performs for such a heavy car, keeping in mind im used to sub 1400kg coupes.

According to his tuner, wont name as yet, his car made 206rwkw stock (203rwkw on gas as he's a LPG installer). Just a few weeks ago he bought a flash box with a generic tune on it with a boost up to 14psi. His tuner then customized this tune & lowered to boost abit (10psi-ish) I think & apparently she then pumped out 280rwkw.....with nothing else upgraded, stock fuel system ect.

Do these figures sound right, or abit high????

Ive just about changed everything on my rx7 & she's still not pumping out that power yet...lol.

G'Day

I'm Jamie, 20.

Just started an apprenticeship as an auto elec (even though I've been working at the place for over 3 years now).

In May I bought myself a new FG XR6T Sedan, Ego colour, leather, tech pack, manual, tinted. Didn't bother with the premium sound because I'm just going to replace it all anyway (colour screen would've been a nice touch though >.<).

Plans are: Purchace a Hi->Lo converter so I can wire in an ADS 3200W amp (5 channel) to Alpine type-R 12" sub, and replacing all the speakers with JL Audio stuff. (Always had a soft spot for decent sound systems)

Performance wise: No idea... Guess that's why I am here, for feedback and ideas ;-)

I'll be scouting the forum for tips, tricks and ideas.

Will be good talking to other xr6t owners who love their cars also.

Cheers.
