Hey guys,

I too am new to this forum. Keen to get some info, insights and opinions from fellow members with XR6 Turbo's on what they have done to their cars and or what they are going to do to them. My current ride is a 2004 BA XR6 Turbo, I've only added basic mods which are:

Custom Tune

KLS Bar and Plate polished Intercooler,

PWR Polished Expansion Tank,

Blue Silicon hose kit,

Blow off Valve,

K&N Filter,

Altezza black tail lights,

Custom upper and lower grills,

X-Force Gauges (Volts, Oil Pressure & Boost),

19" XHP Dirty Dogs running 245/35/19 Kumho Ecsta SPT (KU31)

Next on my wish list is:

Piping kit, and a

T56 6 speed manual gearbox.

Cheers

Buzz

Hey guys,

Just thought I'd pop in and say Hi, as I've just bought a XR6 Turbo. It's a 11/06 BF Mark 2 in Seduce, with the 6 speed manual. Options include a sunroof and Luxury Pack (Dual Zone, Premo Sound etc.).

I got it for a steal, one owner with all books and servicing.. not much warranty history and no mods.

It's got 110km on it, which is 80% highway use. It's in IMMAC. condition.

I'm not sure whether I'll keep it for a little while and then sell it off and get something better, or keep it permanently (for the near future) and mod it up. I've previously owned a couple of heavily modded E-Series including a turbo EA, 347 stroked EB and a fairly modified 5L EF XR8.

Just got a couple of quick q's..

a) What sort of KM life can one expect from the standard clutch? (Mine is running on the original one, it picks up a tad high for my liking and also has some rattle which I believe is from the thrust bearing, but I'm not sure)

b) What RWKW are the standard clutches rated at?

Anyways, some pics;

I'm just using a mate's login as I wasn't able to create my own with my current email account. I'll set one up using the work one tmrw.

Hey gang, nice site you got here. Found it when googling for xr6 turbo :) Bit about me - I've been living overseas for about 4 or 5 years between London, Nice, Cannes, Barcelona and San Francisco, just sold my BMW Z4M Roadster that I had in the US and moving back to Aus in 10 days. I can't get the blue blood out of my system so searching for an XR6T/Phoon now to pick up when I get back :) Look forward to getting bitten by the power bug

Hi Guys,

Im a newbie to the site. I have a 2006 lightning strike BF xr6t. Just had it tuned by XFT and the injectors done so running 263.1 rwkw. Next step is intercooler and exhaust. This forum seems like a really good information exchange server. I'm still learning so sorry if I ask any stupid question.

Hello everyone, I'm new hehe

I learnt about this site from a courier at work who has a nice xr6t ute and after I got my new wheels I decided to sign up =) my first car was a ford, a big old ltd. Ater the ltd I moved to a little turbo sports car which was a ball, but eventually went back to the fords and now have come to get my first XR6Turbo. Its a 2003 ba in Silhouette, auto, lowered, nice wheels, and some goodies including a cappa ford tuner. Not totally sure on power but its over 280rwkw. my tuner who happens to be the previous owner took some boost out of it before he handed it over so I dont destroy myself or the car. once I get used to it it's going back for a full session on the dyno to work out a couple of maps for me. for such a big comfortable car I really wasnt expecting it to be so quick.

thanks for your time,

regards, Andrew
