Hey Guys,

Been lurking around her for a while and finally bought a 2005 BF XR6T. I've owned quite a few modified road/race cars over the years but don't have too many plans to highly modify this one. Would love to eventually get into an FG XR6T or even F6 if finances allow.

Hello fellow car enthusiasts,

This is my first post. I've owned a BA XR6T sedan and a BA XR8 ute in the past(both sold), now that my house is up and running its time for another purchase.

So far I've been been surfing around this forum and the info is excellent, thankyou! Especially as far as after market tuning goes. After my experiences with both the 8 and 6T, I wouldn't hesitate in getting another turbo 6. Probably go for an FG XR6T ute, as the new engine looks like a real belter. I actually got my hands on one of the first XR6Ts in Geelong(Rex Gorell) back in '02 and even then I recall the XR8 still having MUCH higher street cred... hmmm how things change. I even replaced the turbo with an XR8(end '03) to see what the fuss was about, but was disappointed.

The torque available from that engine (6T) was just awesome! I'm gagging to get behind the wheel of another...

Cheers,

Marty

Hello folks, Doing a test post to see if Im doing it right. I have a XR6T BF ll since June 08 and love it. Tis metal blue with premium sound, leather, factory satellite nav, otherwise pretty standard.

Was wondering if there are any independant tests done on the 2 types of petrol I can get. ie unleaded verses premium unleaded. Havent noticed much difference

I'll post this to see if I got it right

:puke: grunt...looks like you've done ok

Normal unleaded is 90-92 RON, then there is 95 & 98 premium (sometimes higher depending on brand/where you are). Should run 95 at a minimum in these things, but if you want some definitive info, check out this thread...
