Hey Henry, sorry I made it sound like such an easy task, but it is when you know and even easier when you have access to a hoist and air gun.

At the very least, if you don't do the work, when the wheels are off; have a bit of a look around the brake caliper and rotor area just to see how it all goes together and how it works.

Some of the smaller workshops will even let you watch, then it won't seem so daunting for you next time, remember its all nuts and bolts and nothing a bit of hand cleaner wont fix.

Hi everyone,

I'm Striker, some of you may know me from other Ford-based forums.

After owning a number of sh*tboxes, I'm looking at burning my turbo laser, becoming friends with the bank manager, and buying a BFII XR6 Turbo in March of 2009.

I've been on these forums for a few days now, and have done an arseload of reading.

My basic conclusion after all the taking in of info is that I want the ZF 6-speed auto, and the stronger rods/valvesprings.

That way there isn't too much to be done to get some decent power out of it.

Its not all about speed or acceleration Pat. Rice gets you blonde scrubbers that will give you erm favours whilst you are sitting on the toilet. Where as the french connection will allow you to take beautiful woman to expensive resturants and still have to beg for sex.
