Hey Stripes

To be honest I don't know but this weekend I'm going to put on axle stands check it out. If any think I'll replace the shocks and go from there.

9 times out of 10 it's the diff bushes that cause axle hop mate.

Have a read of this post I posted in another thread. It's a fantastic explanation of what's going on when your car is axle hopping by a member on AFF CAT600.

http://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/88847-cause-of-cracked-diff-bushes/?p=1488481

Basically, suspension won't sort it, only stiffer bushes will. And being a manual makes it tougher, as the manual is much harder on the driveline than the autos. So in order to get the stiffness needed to not break stuff or flog out the bushes regularly you have to compromise on NVH.

Thanks Stripes that's really helpful.

When I look at it tomorrow ill see how bad it is but I also have a issue and I think it is related.

When I go from a stand in first gear I get a rear end wobble for a second then goes away.

Hello ford men

New to the forum and just purchased my first xr6t couple months ago.

It's a bf early model

6 speed manual

4inch dump full stainless exhaust middle muffle cut out

Plasmaman intercooler n piping

Cold air intake

New garret turbo, flapper mod, 12 psi actuator

Upgraded Valve springs

Supposedly ported polished head n possibly other internal work

Prob a lot of things I missed

Currently got a live tune got 422rwhp on 11psi

It's a little flashy for my liking but I feel I got it for a good price

though I have had my engine sh*t it self so will be posting a thread soon asking a few questions any help would b appreciated

Cheers

Welcome mate, nice looking car and the power is addictive

What happen to the engine ?

Yeh it's all in the thread mas linked.

Not the best scenario considering I wasn't putting too much pressure on it only running 11psi.

I hear of people getting away running 16-18psi n driving it like its stolen n not having any probs
