During this time I had been looking through carsales, locals and even gumtree at one stage, until I found one that caught my eye. Ended up buying myself a 2nd (maybe 3rd) hand BF MkII XR6T in Conquerer Blue with Premium sound, dual zone climate. Drives like a dream and wish I had bought one sooner but didnt have the funds for it at the time.Site has definately helped me get some of the information needed and no doubt will assist me if im looking to go for 300+rwkw (already have threads bookmarked). Thanks to everyone for the useful information I have acquired over the numerous threads I've read

What's with the bonnet does air actually flow through or just for looks

Bonnet was a custom job by the previous owner, there are holes in the scoops (XB GT scoops I was told) in there so air will flow through...but it's mainly a looks thing I think. Nice ride but one down fall keep a microfiber cloth in the car cause the centre of the dash pics up every bit of dust and stands out like dogs balls.:D

I paid $28K. Previous owner had the car from new and had fitted an SS Growler CAI, pedders springs to lower it an inch and some cheap jobby $450 CAT back 3" exhaust from ebay. Generally in pretty good condition, bonnet and possibly front bar may need a respray as there is what looks like a screwdriver gouge out of the bonnet and a whole bunch of sotne chips too, and that scratch you can see in the front right hand portion of the bumper (which I only noticed after it was detailed)...if I decided it bothers me and want to be picky. Pretty stoked with it so far, I can definitely see how easy it would be to get bitten hard by the mod bug. I've already purchased a short shifter and some new diff, gearbox and engine oil from mainlube.Oh and yep, I can see how the centre of the dash will be a fingerprint and dust magnet. I think the dash, being black, and not silver is one of the things that attracted me to this model. Looks a little less pov pack than the standard silver dash Edited 23/09/13 05:40 AM by dowen
