got a 2009 xr6t on the 1st of july...

Had a funny sound coming from under bonnet with power loss..

parked her up since monday this week to get checked from dealers...

was told bolt on turbo was lose, now fixed and working with out the sound and power loss...

anyways pick her back up today..yeah cant wait...

Manifold/turbo bolts are a common thing to come loose on these cars, so just need to make sure they are tightened every so often!

Hey guys. I'm a newbie here. I've got an 04 ba t ute and I've got a few questions relating to mods. I've got a quote for install on a big inter cooler custom piping for turbo and induction, a full stainless 3 1/2 inch exhaust an 4. 1/2 inch dump pipe and a custom tune to suit. I'm hoping for around 350rwkw. For $6000 And I'm considering getting my 5 SPd manual box rebuilt. Also getting the valve springs done. But that's extra. Should I just get a t56? Or will a rebuilt box hold? A big thanx for this site too. It's amazing!!!! Love it. :-)

I wouldnt be pushing a ba bottom end to 350rwk, also I thought the 5 speeds where crap I would go the t56.

+1 on t56

they cant really do much to the t5z in terms of rebuilding. Will be as strong as a stock one.

a new t56 will set you back under 4k + conversion

04 5sp....? whats the build date 01/01/04? Are sure it didn't start life as an NA?

BA Mk1's were still made until the end of 04 as far as I'm aware.
