Your judging the guy even though you've just got your license back. Fact is, high powered cars are an easy target for legislators to appear to be doing something. But check the statistics, there's been no changes. My brother could easily do 180kmh in his BA. Older sh*tty commys will go over 200, closer to a stock turbos speed limiter. Shy take your own advice then and never buy a T as you will never have te experience. According to you even an advanced drivers course won't help. So your screwed. Lucky for all of us that gone in before the laws hey must all have guardian Angels since there was no p plate laws to save us.

On Ls now in vic you can ride 600cc to a certain power to weight ratio but still cut 13s down qtr. it's not the car that kills.....it's the knob behind the wheel. Many people moan about getting done for only 5ks or 10ks over the limit but at the end of the day, you've accepted the punishment as the risk for your actions. By the same token, I think what you are doing is similar. You need to know and accept you will get ass raped by any copper that pulls you over as well as any magistrate you end up in front off.Of concern to me is your insurance predicament. In NSW at least, a P plater is not licenced to drive a Turbo and as such, no insurance company will cover you as the driver if you have a prang as you are not driving a vehicle in your licence class. It would be like a C licence holder driving a Heavy Rigid; the insurance on the truck wouldn't cover you. Even if someone else rear ends you, the insurance company won't pay out and you will have to foot the bill.Of even greater concern is the lack of CTP insurance. You will be liable for the injury costs of any person you injure which could be millions of dollars as they get compensation as well as you having to foot all of their medical bills. That may include rehabilitation many years into the future.

That doesn't necessarily mean they will, but they do have the right to.
