Hey guys,

I have scored a pair of 275x30x19 tyres at a bargain price want want to stick them on my G6ET.

I have been doing a bit of research and some people say it's ok to run these sized tyres on such a narrow rim, but others say it's not good and need a 9" wide wheel at least.

Has anyone else out there run this combo before??

I'm assuming you want more traction, if so just buy a better tyre in the correct size for your wheel, like a nitto invo/nt05.

Squeezing a tyre onto a rim is not recommended.

It's very hard to mount the tyre

The stupid tyre shop tried to mount a 275/30/20 to a 20x8.5 rim instead of the 9.5 it wasn't going on tool a bit and was bulging heaps when they got it on, then I saw it and said that the front rim LOL

I got quoted $390 a corner for Toyo T1S, and picked up 2x 85% Toyo T1R (275x30x19) for $350.

Traction is the main thing, as I'm getting my car tuned next week- and the stock sh!tlops are almost over.

I might try some new wheels out (gold BBS LM reps) and see how they go....
