Broke my 2nd Input shaft this morning! bugger!

Sorry to hear Matt,

Are you gonna build it stronger now and did it break under the same circumstances (downshift)?

Since the day you broke the first one I only drive in manual mode as I didn't want the box to shift down a gear and end up with the same result.

I enquired about a new heavy duty input shaft I think its the billet one that Simon at Nizpro has stated to me in a message just for an interest because I was in Matt's car when it broke the first time it makes me stress if mines on the way out. This is what Simon said in the email:

To supply only you are looking at $1550.00, Drive in drive away price including reprogramming is $2950.00 We require the vehicle for 2 working days

Cheers Simon

Hope it helps anyone who has enquiries "how much"

Just to add, the billet input shaft is an exchange item (broken/non broken) as we machine out the old shaft and re-weld the new billet shaft into the clutch drum (using a jig to ensure its aligned properly).

There are just under 40 billet input shafts in cars to this day with no failures

I was taking the piss. All good I've found a solution in way of a new shaft that has been cryoed and shot peened for a total price that is a 1/3 of the nizpro jobby. And from what I understand only about 5% weaker than the Billet so perfect for my power level and budget.
