Exactly, it's failed because of the design and or location. I was lucky enough to have one of each, now I drive a manual.

People have fitted external coolers without dramas and an external cooler will eliminate the problem completely.

Much better option IMO so your not throwing good money after bad and still have every chance in the world your expensive gearbox will be destroyed.

I also now run an external trans cooler after my box let go due to water contamination from this sh!thouse heat exchanger failing on me. I will now be writing a letter to ford head office with a copy of my repair bill to show them what their poorly designed Chinese part did to my gearbox and what it cost me to fix. Might not get anything out of them but the way I say it I got nothing to lose.

So there is a few more people out there that are running them without issues. How many more do you need?

Don't the external coolers cause line pressure drops and the car to go into limp mode though Dillz?

No mention of limp mode, where did you hear that?

Just get braided lines to prevent any line pressure issues.
