Hi guys,

Trying to decide on a tyre around the $250.00-$300.00 per corner.

Looking for reasonabzle performance but would like something quiet.

What can people recomended,

Quiet = assymetric or they must not have a V pattern.

If continental SC2's come in that size is recommend them.

Quite and grip don't usually go together. The better tyres have a deeper rumble and less likely to be picked up as well by your ear.

For two to three hungy your not going to get something that stays quite. It will get noisier as the tyres wears usually.

For your price bracket look at the Maxxi's, Nexen 8000, and the Kuhmo K19's. The yokie 245's????? are in that bracket and not too bad either.

None of these have exceptional grip. But are very quite for a low profile tyre

Just changed from OEM dunlop sport maxx to Goodyear Asymmetric F1 series 2(made in Germany) at 18000km. I am just amazed at the quietness compared to Dunlops. They feel MUCH softer on road surface. They are slightly more nervous at straight ahead position when driving, but turn, grip and brake much better. Not sure how they will last but that is not my main attribute when looking at a performance tire.( car FG F6)
